All work and no play is no fun. At Cummins Station, we mean business when we say we have a thriving, lively community. Check the Community Calendar for dates and times of these regular events as well as events for the Community Arts Program:
Community Members are the guests of honor at our Refresh events. These casual, friendly gatherings provide the perfect venue for folks to enjoy cocktails, mingle and share their stories-perhaps make a new friend or two.
We’ve hosted some legendary holiday parties at Cummins Station! We provide the food, drinks and music while Community Members bring their holiday spirit. Kick back, loosen up and get down. If you haven’t danced the night away at the Cummins Station Holiday Party, you haven’t partied!
Community Open House
Want to meet your neighbors, see what they do? Each year we provide an opportunity for our retail Community Members to open their doors and exhibit their goods and services. There is a lot of talent and resources here in Cummins Station, and our Community Open House is a great place for folks to show it off.
During the December holiday season, we offer local vendors of arts and crafts, food, desserts and unique gifts the opportunity to display their items on the second floor. For busy workers, it’s a great place to get your holiday shopping done!
Big Dig on Earth Day
Ready to roll up your sleeves and help cultivate the earth? To commemorate Earth Day each year, Cummins Station hosts a Big Dig in the Community Garden, located outside the first floor on the west side of the building. The fun begins before the big event, with a T-shirt design contest. The winning design is then printed onto organic shirts and distributed to participants. On “Dig” day, we supply plants, trees and a landscaping company. We end the day with a grilling party to celebrate Mother Earth. Join us in the celebration!
